Silver and Enamel Zodiac Star Sign Celestial Pendant

The ancient technique of applying vitreous (glass) enamel is a lengthy process that demands patience and skill. Sally hand-applies multiple thin layers of finely ground glass, coloured with pigment, to the etched silver. Each layer is then kiln-fired at very high temperatures to fuse the glass to the silver. This process is repeated several times for each pendant, resulting in a lustrous glossy smooth surface of glass with colour that will never fade.

The pendant hangs on a sterling silver chain with tiny silver beads, measuring 50cm in length. If you prefer a longer or shorter chain, please feel free to contact us to enquire about these options.
