Sterling Silver and Enamel Monogram and Wreath Border Signet Ring

The ancient technique of applying vitreous (glass) enamel is a meticulous process. Many thin layers of finely ground glass, coloured with pigment, are hand-applied to the etched silver. Each layer is kiln-fired at extremely high temperatures to fuse the glass to the silver. At least five layers of enamel are applied to each piece, which is then hand-polished to reveal the lustrous, glossy smooth surface of the glass with colour that will never fade.

The ring features a softly rounded shape on both the inside and outside, ensuring a comfortable fit on the finger.

Made from: Recycled sterling silver and vitreous (glass) enamel.

Dimensions: Oval Signet 14mm X 12mm. Weight approximately 10 grams.

This item is handmade to order. Please allow up to two weeks for delivery, as each ring is hand-cast to order, engraved, and then hand-enamelled with vitreous enamel before being sent to the London Assay Office for hallmarking. While this process takes time, the result is well worth the wait!

Due to the handcrafted nature of the process and variations in viewing colours on different devices, the colour of the enamel may vary slightly.
