Sterling Silver and Enamel Monogram Signet Ring

The ancient technique of applying vitreous (glass) enamel is a meticulous process. Many thin layers of finely ground glass, coloured with pigment, are hand-applied to the etched silver. Each layer is kiln-fired at extremely high temperatures to fuse the glass to the silver. At least five layers of enamel are applied to each piece, which is then hand-polished to reveal the lustrous, glossy smooth surface of the glass with colour that will never fade.

The ring features a softly rounded shape on both the inside and outside, offering a comfortable fit on the finger.

Please allow up to two weeks for delivery, as each ring is hand-cast to order, engraved, and then hand-enamelled with vitreous enamel before being sent to the London Assay Office for hallmarking. While this process takes time, the result is well worth the wait!
